| This post gives a TENTATIVE format for Round 2 of SPIB 2027. Do not take whatever is said here to be final. |
After the conclusion of SPIB Round 1, the top sixteen teams from there will be invited to Round 2.
Round 2 is very different from the pen-and-paper exam style of Round 1. It is a full-day event which features live, head-to-head integration battles between two teams racing to solve integrals faster than their opponent.
Each match is a best-of-5 (BO5) head-to-head integrals. Each round, both teams are shown the same integral at the same time and race to solve it. Every integral comes with a time limit, and each team can only submit a maximum of three answers per integral. A team earns a point for submitting the correct answer first. If neither team solves it in time, no points are awarded. The team with the most points after 5 integrals wins.
If teams are tied by the end of 5 integrals, play proceeds to BO1 tiebreaker integrals. The first team to solve a tiebreaker integral is the winner.
The top 3 teams of Round 2 receive prizes, sponsored by Texas Instruments. All participating will also receive certificates based on their Round 2 standings.
Awards for Round 2 and Round 1 are independent.
Free lunch for our Round 2 teams will also be provided!
Tournament Format
The whole tournament consists of two stages: Group Stage (Groups), and Playoffs.
(If you’ve ever watched a Valorant Champions event before, R2 follows basically the same format.)
Group Stage
The 16 qualifying teams are first split into groups of 4 teams. The top 2 of each group advance to the Playoffs.
Within each group, teams compete in a GSL-style, double-elimination group stage. Teams must win 2 matches to advance to playoffs; teams that lose 2 matches are eliminated.

The time limit of all Group Stage integrals is 5 minutes per integral.
Playoffs (as of 2027)
The eight teams that advance to playoffs from groups are seeded into a double-elimination bracket.
All teams start in the upper bracket. Teams that lose in the upper bracket drop to the lower bracket (except for the grand final), and teams that lose in the lower bracket are eliminated.
UNCONFIRMED: Another set of games is played in the grand final if the team that came from the upper bracket loses. This happens because technically the tournament is double-elimination, but the upper bracket team has not yet lost a game until the grand final.

Playoffs integrals are more difficult than those of groups, and get progressively harder deeper into the tournament.
The time limits per integral for each stage in the Playoffs are:
| Stage | Time per integral |
| (UQF) Upper Quarterfinals; (USF) Upper Semifinals; (LE) Lower Elimination; (LQF) Lower Quarterfinals | 5 minutes |
| (UF) Upper Final; (LSF) Lower Semifinals; (LF) Lower Final | 7 minutes |
| (GF) Grand Final | 10 minutes |
The final four games (LSF, LF, UF and GF) will be uploaded on our YouTube channel.
